Our
Story
Incarnation
Holy Sacrament Church has its beginning in 1973, with the merger of
Church of the Incarnation, Drexel Hill (started in 1915) and Holy
Sacrament, Highland Park (started in 1906). Our current
facilities were built in 1919, and expanded in 1929. the
attached rectory was built in 1926 (click here
for history before 1973).
The
priests of IHS have been the Reverends Charles Francis Ehly
(1973-1977), Joseph I. Moore (1977-1993), Arnold Aubrey Hiltz (Interim
then Priest-in-Charge 1994-1996), Susan Richards (Priest-in-Charge
1996-1997), Craig Arnold Phillips (1997-2002), and Winston W. Welty
(Interim 2002-2005). The Reverend Alexander (Sandy) C. Graham,
IV, came to us in August of 2005, and was installed as rector on the
6th of November.
